Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has revealed striker Nicolas Jackson will be out for six to eight weeks with a muscle injury.
Jackson underwent scans on Wednesday and the results confirmed the seriousness of the injury after coming off the bench early in the second half of Chelsea’s win over West Ham United earlier this month.
Maresca revealed the striker will be out until the next international break.

Joining Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023, Jackson was injured in a match against West Ham United two weeks ago.
The 23-year-old Senegalese striker has been a key contributor this season, scoring nine goals and providing five assists across all competitions.
He has also earned 14 caps for the Senegal national team.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s 45-year-old Italian manager said Marc Guiu is dealing with a muscle issue, including a hamstring problem, which will sideline him for some time.
Chelsea currently sit fourth in the English Premier League standings, having accumulated 43 points from 24 matches.
“We knew it was a muscular problem but we didn’t know how serious it was because of the way he reacted.
“We didn’t think it was a serious injury but unfortunately, he had a scan and it will be six to eight weeks out.”
Maresca also confirmed fellow striker Marc Guew is also out with a hamstring injury.
