Be direct! Maresca clearly states the future of 2 surplus Chelsea players

After confirming the arrival of Joao Felix, who is Chelsea’s 10th signing of the summer, Enzo Maresca was asked about the futures of England duo Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell, and the Italian admitted that neither player is in his plans and that it would be better for both Sterling and Chilwell to move on and find opportunities elsewhere.

“They are training separately from the first ยูฟ่าเบท team at the moment. The situation with both of them is quite clear. The squad is very big and it is impossible to play everyone. If they want to play, I think it would be better for them to leave. I try to be honest. I spoke to Raheem before the Manchester City game and told him he would not play much if he was here, which is why he was left out. With Chilli, he is a lovely guy, but I told him he did not fit into this position. I am not being cruel, I am just being honest.”

“I’m not saying Raheem is not a good player, I just want a different winger,” he said.

“You guys say we have 42-43 players, but 15 of them are not in the first team. I only work with about 25 players. It’s not as chaotic as it looks to the outside world.”

As we all know, Chelsea have signed a crazy 10 players this summer and it looks like they will continue to add more. This has caused many of the old players to become surplus to requirements and have had to decide to move out. The latest confirmed player is Conor Gallagher, a homegrown player who has become surplus to requirements and has decided to move to Atletico Madrid.
